| Heard Elementary STEM Academy holds an annual STEAM Night every third Thursday in February. This annual event has been held since its inception in 2014 and has grown exponentially. STEAM Nights collectively bring local business representatives (Home Depot, Gulfstream, Society of Women’s Engineering, South University, and Great Dane to name a few) who bring their products to showcase and demonstrate to our entire school and community. Our event provides hands-on learning, real-world simulations, and exposures to a variety of STEAM careers. Excitement permeates through every classroom throughout our school since there is something STEAM for everyone. Also, on exhibit are products from class STEAM units, Science and Engineering Fair entries, Wonder Why Clubs, and student-led demonstrations from SECME and Lego League Robotics are also held.
