Zoo Atlanta: Project Based Learning on the African Savanna
Saturday, November 2, 2019
9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Come discover the all-new African Savanna and learn how to connect your classroom to real-world conservation issues. From ecology to technology, math to art, explore the diverse ways by which you can tie the Georgia Standards of Excellence to current events using Zoo Atlanta as a Living Laboratory. Educators will learn about Zoo Atlanta’s conservation initiatives and animal care, and will have access to teacher resources. Through collaboration, teachers will begin to develop their own PBLs to utilize in their classrooms. Make sure to bring your curriculum maps!
